Rich violet-red in color, the nose is exuberant and aromatic with notes of red fruit, bing cherry, plum and violets. The palate has bright red berry and plum flavors, with a vibrant core of dense tannins and warm hints of cola and clove. The finish is floral, elegant and mouthwatering. The wine will evolve well over the next 20 years.

THE STAGS LEAP DISTRICT IS A PARTICULARLY unique appellation in the Napa Valley. It is bound on the east by the Stags Leap Palisades, on the west by rolling hills and the Napa River, on the north by the Yountville Cross Road, and on the south by flatlands. Distinctive soils and the dramatic marine influences of San Pablo Bay produce fruit that is well ripened yet still possessing a balancing vibrant acidity.
