Deep garnet in color, Sierra Mar showcases spiced oak laced with cedar, pepper, fenugreek and ripe pomegranate on the nose. The palate is very dense with flavors of ripe red fruit accented by bergamot, crushed granite and savory notes. The finish is powerful and dense - this wine transforms with time in the glass.
Sierra Mar vineyard is owned by Gary and Rosella Franscioni, famed pioneers of the Santa Lucia Highlands. This incredible vineyard site reflects the best of the appellation. The vineyard produces rich, lush, unctuous fruit that is balanced by the natural acidity of the site.
