The wine is a vibrant gold with a slight green hue. The nose greets aromas of ripe Asian pear, lemon tart, and mango. The palate is rich and beautiful in structure, formed by vibrant acidity and barrel aging. Tropical fruit and crème fraîche on the palate lead to a long and focused finish with hints of crushed gravel.
The Sangiacomo Vineyard is a certified sustainable vineyard, first planted in 1969. The block we source from is entirely "Old Wente" field selection. The proximity to the Pacific Ocean and San Pablo Bay makes this site ideal for growing Chardonnay. Older vines produce small clusters that drive concentration and richness in the wine.
