Critic Review
Owen Bargreen
"Dick Shea was a former Wall Street investor that decided to move and invest in the Willamette Valley. WALT has now been working with the ‘Shea Vineyard’ since 2010. The earthy tones come alive immediately as the core of red and dark fruits march with shades of blood orange zest. The palate is soft and shows a great sense of mouthfeel. Layers of pretty rose water tones combine with peat moss and ripe red raspberry and with wet stone accents. Full bodied and downright delicious to consume in its youth, this outstanding bottling will cellar well for a decade or more."

"Supple and multilayered, with expressive rose petal, raspberry and dusky spice flavors that build richness on the lush finish."

Shea Vineyard
Well draining volcanic and seabed soils.

Light ruby in color the 2018 Shea Vineyard Pinot Noir opens with interwoven aromas of strawberry, cranberry, ruby grapefruit and dried leaves. While still earth-driven in character, the ripeness of the 2018 vintage resulted in a deep and velvety texture. With alluring tension and structure on the palate the wine finishes with hints of minerality and forest floor.
