"The 2019 Zinfandel Tug O'War from the Maffei Vineyard in the Russian River sports a semi-opaque purple/ruby color followed by classic Zinfandel strawberry and briary red and black fruits as well as cigar, cedar, and spicy aromas and flavors. Medium-bodied, on the palate, it has ripe yet firmer tannins, a straight, elegant texture, and good length on the finish."

Farmed by the granddaughter of the founding Italian family, Joanne Maffei is very hands-on.
