Tasting notes

A true Bordeaux blend, our 2020 Craig's opens with rich aromas of ripe plum that mingle with notes of sage and wet gravel. The rich, concentrated palate is ripe yet refreshing with a tertiary flavor of dark fruit coulis. This vintage is loaded with personality and finishes on a beautiful note of minerality.

Vintage Notes

The winter of 2020 was warm and dry, setting off budbreak and the growing season slightly earlier than usual throughout Napa Valley.  It wasn't until the end of March that cold, rainy weather arrived, and the mild spring gave the vines a strong, early start. Moderately warm days held through the summer and early fall, allowing the fruit to ripen slowly and develop complex flavor and tannin balance, while maintaining fresh acidity. This vintage produced great wines that are concentrated, focused, and beautifully balanced.
