On the Wine Roads podcast host, Jeff Davis, recently visited  BACA to interview Jennifer for his wine show. Tun in and hear what inspired Jennifer to launch BACA and hear how her venture into wine began in the vineyards as a child.

BACA Wines’ Jennifer Brown Talks Being a Third-Generation Vinter.

Jennifer sits down with Ventuer Magazine to discuss her vision for the modern Zinfandel brand, BACA. 

"My mother always told me that if you can’t have fun while making wine, what is the point? I took that to heart and decided to name each of our wines after a game or something playful.

After all, even though we make seriously good wine, I never want to take ourselves too seriously. The wines also have deeper meanings. Home Base, for example, comes from the Dry Creek Valley, near our home winery in Healdsburg."

"BACA means “berry” in Latin. We focus on making wines from heritage vineyards. When a vine is older, it produces less fruit, but the fruit is more concentrated. We make wine in a contemporary style: energetic and unpretentious, but still luxurious."
